Details-TEBORI.jpg

My artistic practice focuses on what I call

Tebori Art Textile.

Inspired by the traditional Japonese handpoked

tattooing method, I translate this

slow,

repetitive,

meditative

ritual into the realm of fiber art.

Using needles like tattooist’s tools, I sculpt raw linen cancas with rich wool textures and vibrant  patterns, exploring themes of

sisterhood, architecture, cultural memory.

Les hypnopompiques

The hypnopompic state refers to this subtle transition where consciousness awakens between night and day, manifesting as a temporary inability to move or speak while being awake.

By standing as one, Les Hypnopompiques breaks the paralysis and erect a political force, a collective cry rising in fierce joy and an explosion of colors.

" Nous, les femmes, nous, la moitié de l'humanité, nous sommes mises en marche. Je crois que nous n'accepterons plus que se perpétue cette oppression."

“Inspired by Cubism and Modernism combined with a folk art  spirit, this piece pays tribute to women, sisterhood, and  nature through flowers—battered by these uncertain times, where

resistance is found in the aesthetics of joy and color.”

This mural celebrates the collective strength and courage of the Kurdish female fighters of the YPJ,

the Women’s Protection Units.

Their universal fight for equality and freedom is admirable."

It seems that there is a very specific area in the brain that we could call poetic memory and which records what has charmed us, what has moved us, what gives our life its beauty.

" From the incandescence of NINA Simone to the presence of

Simone SIGNORET, this totem stands solely through the solidarity of the women who compose it, making the superposition of these SIMONES an act of resistance and memory.

Verticality becomes a dialogue between generations, each figure bound to the earth embodying a link in this transmission, a collective spine where each woman supports the one who precedes her.

The bright red of the lips, like a shared secret or a common breath, punctuates the precarious balance of women. "
